Projects & Grants

EMCI has made a total of $221,700 in grants since 1996. It has funded a variety of projects, including natural science students, the Downeast Salmon Foundation in Columbia Falls, the Humboldt Field Research Center in Steuben, a Herring Spawning Survey Study, Neotropical Migrant Bird studies, offshore bird monitoring, local historical societies, the Jonesport Beals High School, red tide studies and others.  The grants are reported in, and favorably received by the local press.
